Today we were recommended for the first time in the country inn "Zum Ochsen" in Konigsbach. As soon as you step through the big, old wooden gate, you immediately feel welcome. Our waitress immediately showed us a very nice table. Naturally outdoors, so that we could enjoy the pleasant evening weather. When I asked if she could recommend a good wine, she brought me a carafe with a very fine droplet, which was a very good choice for the warm weather. As a starter we had the carpaccio with parmesan, the meat was more than tender and the taste of the parmesan was very good. The second starter was salmon with potato pancakes. Very, very tasty salmon, the potato pancake also tasted great, you could just tell that it was homemade. And the "fig-dill-mustard" was just awesome. For the main course we had veal fillet with chanterelles and homemade spaetzle. The meat was perfect on point. The mushrooms were fresh and firm to the bite and of course the spaetzle were perfect because they were homemade. Then we had veal cheeks with rosemary sauce and croquettes. The meat has literally melted on your tongue. The sauce had an ingenious consistency and the crispy croquettes were perfect. For dessert there was crème brulée with mint sugar. Delicious. I had shock soufflé with mongoparfait on a raspberry mirror. Rarely have I been served a souffle in such a spot-on manner. Really the perfect way to end an excellent evening. I would now like to once again praise the extremely friendly and courteous service, who really fulfilled our every wish. Conclusion : Clear recommendation. Would make a reservation as the tables are currently only occupied once per evening. Price-performance ratio is really great. Wednesdays are steamed noodle day ... that means, next time there will be steamed noodles.

Located in the middle of Königsbach: the ox. Cozy restaurant with very good traditional German cuisine. The fillet, the roast roast and especially the sour veal kidneys with fried potatoes are particularly noteworthy. Friendly, courteous service. We will be back.

Very nice courtyard, attentive service. Waiting for the food almost one and a half hours, although only a larger table ordered in front of us. What came then was really great. The wait was worth it. Price / performance really great.
